Nambor Wildlife Sanctuary
Nambor Wildlife Sanctury covers about 37 km2.
It is stituated in the
Karbi Anglong district about 65 kms from the
Kaziranga National Park, 25 kms from
Golaghat and around 325 km from Guwahati.
The Wildlife Sanctuary is situated with its Northern boundary along the western and southern boundary of
Garampani Wildlife Santuary upto Dhansiri River.This sanctury is home to Elephants, various species of monkeys and rare types of orchids.
Nambor is also famous for the hot spring lake, locally known as Goram Pani, which has medicinal properties.
The sanctuary has no accommodation but there are places to stay in Golaghat. Also one can come for a day visit from Jorhat and stay overnight at Jorhat.
