Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary
The name Garmpani derives from Gram (warm/hot) and Pani(water). As the name
suggests this area is famous for it's hot water springs.The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary was a reserve forest since 1952. The wildlife sanctury covers only about 6,05 km2. It is stituated in the Karbi Anglong district about 65 kms from the Kaziranga National Park and 25kms from Golaghat. Itis recongnised as a Wild Life Sanctury by the government of Assam since 1952.
This sanctury is also home to a large variety of birds and reptiles. Animals found here are Elephants, Leopard, Tiger, Deer, Golden Langurs, Hoolok Gibbons etc.
