The international Centre for Child and Youth Studies (iCCYS) is a specialised unit for training, research and policy analysis, established at the Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague and International Child Development Initiatives (ICDI) in nearby Leiden.

iCCYS' activities focus on the needs of children and youth in developing, transitional and developed societies. As guiding principles the Centre promotes the holistic development of children and youth and believes in children and youth themselves as agents in development.

The strategic partnership between ISS and ICDI is based on their complementary skills and profiles. ISS has an established reputation and more than 50 years of experience in international training and research on development issues. ICDI is a smaller, younger agency specifically focused on children and youth in developed, developing and transitional societies.

iCCYS organises regularly workshops, seminars and other meetings.

iCCYS undertakes and promotes multi-disciplinary training and research, policy analysis, programme development and local capacity building in a number of specific fields in relation to childhood and youth in development.

One of the projects which iCCYS crried out in India is: No to Child Labour; Yes to Education. (ICDI - International Child Developmet Initiative).
