Shamla Nandoe Tewarie is the first Dutch Kuchipudi Artist in The Netherlands, having got herself trained in India, under the direct tutelage of Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, the Kuchipudi maestro, since 1997. She got training for 2 years in Chennai.

Besides Kuchipudi, Shamla also teaches and gives workshops in Bollywood dance, Indian Folkdances and is dance work out instructor for Zumba and Masala Bhangra.
