Surili Vedika is Dutch of Indian origin and both the Indian Culture and dancing are in her veins. From the age of 4 years she followed Ballet lessons and later she started lessons in Bharat Natyam under late Mrs. Rajamani. She became however more attracted by the North-Indian classical dance,Kathak.

She studied this dance form in The Netherlands followed by a training in India, under the famous guru in this field, Pandit Birju Maharaj.

Vedika Surili became known for her gracious and expressive way of dancing and for her all by herself developed way of Indian Folk-, Film- and semi-classical dance.

She has performed on many Cultural Manifestations in and outside The Netherlands.

In November 2005 she represented The Netherlands at the 3rd International Indira Gandhi Cultural Festival Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi, India.

In Mumbai, she has undergone training in Indian folkdances and theatre drama-acting under guru Mrs. Kishu Pal and . She also followed masterclasses bollywood dance with Saroj Khan of Mumbai.

Surili is also teaching Kathak, semi-classic and Bollywood dance and gives workshops.
