Nedap develops and supplies innovative and sustainable solutions in the fields of security and electronic control units as well as automation, management and information for organisations.
One of its solutions is Naiade - a sunny solution to purifying water. Naiade uses sunlight to clean and disinfect water. It is a unit consisting of a solar panel, a power supply unit, a reactor with UV lamp, a water container of 100 litres and removable filters. Each unit can service the drinking water requirements of 250-350 people a day based on a consumption of 5 litres per person. Water is poured in at the top and is filtered through the double filters. The pre-filtered water passes through the UV lamp, which disinfects the water. And within minutes clean water can be taken out of a tap at the bottom.
Naiade is installed in several states of India.
