Since the early 1980's, Paques has been developing and producing high-quality, cost-effective purification systems for water and gas, using innovative biotechnology. These purification systems offer industries and municipalities added value, such as: the re-use of and savings on water, the generation of energy and the reclamation of valuable substances from the wastewater. This allows Paques’ clients to combine economic progress and environmental responsibility.
In 1999, Paques received the prize Environment Prize for Industry for applying their technology to a distillery in India. This prize was awarded by the Ministry for Housing, Regional Development and the Environment in the category "International joint venture for sustainable development"
