Maastricht University has several faculties. One of the departments of the Faculty of General Science is the Department of Mathematics.
The Department is involved in a number of projects with external partners including in India. The partner in India is the Indian Statistical Institute( ISI) of Delhi. One of the Research project is "Game Theory and its application". Game theory is the mathematical study of conflict situations.
