NEDWORC is an organisation for independent consultants, working in the fields of Relief & rehabilitation, Development Cooperation, International Cooperation. It offers its members a forum for exchange of information, knowledge and practical experiences, and services related to job-mediation.
NEDWORC Association is first and foremost a network. Members use their mutual contacts to raise their level of expertise and to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. NEDWORC members are required to endorse a Code of Conduct providing a guarantee for their impartiality in performing their work. The Association has several options for job-mediation to recruiting agencies.
Membership of NEDWORC is open to all experienced professionals in the fields of development co-operation, international co-operation, and relief and rehabilitation. The chief criterion for membership is five years' experience in these respective fields. Those with less experience can be accepted as affiliated member. Students can apply for student membership.
Communication in the association, except for job-announcements, is mainly in Dutch.
