Freevoice, formely known as Communication Assistance Foundation (CAF), is a Dutch association that supports independent media in developing countries. Freevoice aims to contribute to the democratic process by encouraging freedom of information, multiformity of news coverage and forming opinions in developing countries. In 1986 the Netherlands Association of Journalists, the Society of Chief Editors and the Dutch Newspaper Association, started the organisation.
In the past Freevoice supported projects in India. Two of them were:
- a radio programme in New Delhi (Aap ka Adhikar, Aap ki Zhimivarri) and
- a video project in Mutharasapuram village ( Bharathi women Development Centre).
