Röntgen Technische Dienst (RTD) was founded in 1937 and since 1981 is a 100% subsidiary of Lloyds Register of Shipping.
RTD aims to efficiently provide its clients in both onshore and offshore industries with the assurance that quality, safety and reliability are achieved during the manufacturing, construction, operation and maintenance phases of technical installations. It does so by profitably supplying up-to-date non-destructive testing, destructive testing, data collection, data management and inspection management services; it maintains a competent workforce and plays an active role in the development of effective and efficient techniques and systems necessary to do so.
The RTD Nederland department is responsible for carrying out all standard non-destructive inspection methods and engineering inspection services. The inspections can be carried out during construction or maintenance phase. The wide range of services contains test methods which can be used on-stream en off-stream.
The Operations Pipeline Project Services (PPS) department carries out pipeline inspections throughout the world using conventional crawler radiography and mechanised ultrasonic inspection. RTD's reputation is based on the quality of the work that its inspectors provide. All projects worldwide are co-ordinated from RTD's head office in Rotterdam.
Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection services are provided through more than 30 offices and many more representatives and agencies located worldwide.
RTD has two engineering workshops. One of them is in near New Delhi.
